Visit China without Visa

Canadians and Americans often wonder if they need a visa to enter China. The answer is yes until recently. A new policy called 10-day visa-free transit was announced by China National Immigration Authority on December 17, 2024 and went into effect immediately.

This 10-day visa-free transit applies to citizens of 54 countries including Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Tourists from Australia and New Zealand can stay in China for up to 15 days without a visa per announcement made by the Chinese government on July 1, 2024.

Canadians may now go on most of our China tours (less than 3 weeks) without having to apply for a visa. Let us show you how you can expand your stay in China visa-free to 20 days while still in full compliance with this latest policy.
